Computer readable data relating to social, political and economic affairs. Data is from Australian surveys, opinion polls and censuses and includes data from other countries within the Asia Pacific region.

The Australian Data Archive (ADA) website is the online presence of a consortium of leading national Australian universities, managed by the Australian National University (ANU).

Initially known as the Social Science Data Archive (SSDA), and then as the Australian Social Science Data Archive (ASSDA), ADA was established at the ANU in 1981 with a brief to provide a national service for the collection and preservation of computer readable data relating to social, political and economic affairs and to make these data available for further analysis.

This website is the primary way in which ADA makes these data available. All visitors to the ADA Data Catalogue can browse and search the catalogue, view study and variable documentation (including frequencies) and download related material (questionnaires, codebooks, etc). Registered users can also analyse and visualise most data online, and users who have completed the relevant form(s) can download entire studies or subsets of variables in a range of formats.
